Description: Bryan Kendall of the Office of the State Archaeologist at the University of Iowa will be the speaker at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, at the Louisa County Heritage Center in Wapello. The free program , “What’s Old is New Again: Recent Discoveries ”, will look at Archaeology in Iowa that stretches back more than 100 years with early explorations along the Mississippi River in eastern Iowa. If anyone has questions about a specific site he will do his best to answer them. Refreshments will be served.

Title: Mid-Prairie Music Boosters Pancake Supper
Description: The Mid-Prairie Music Boosters will be hosting a pancake supper before the last home football game of the regular season on Friday, October 15th. This year’s pancake feed will take place in the high school cafeteria starting at 4:30 PM. Tickets are $6 in advance for adults or $6.50 at the door. Kids under 10 are $3.50. Tickets can be purchased from any Mid-Prairie high school music student or Wellman Rotarian. All proceeds will benefit music camp scholarships for local Mid-Prairie student musicians.
