With 5.5 inches of snow earlier this week, snow drifting on area roads and temperatures falling well below zero, area school districts had cancellations and delays. Washington schools did not have class Tuesday and Wednesday and lost two days of school due to the weather. Superintendent Dr. Mike Jorgensen announced the tentative school calendar is now adjusted to have the last day of school for students be May 26th and May 27th will be a teacher workday.
