The Kalona United Methodist Church Harvest Dinner and Auction will be Sunday (11/7) at the Church at 302 4th Street in Kalona. Dinner starts at 11am and includes Pork Loin; Cost is $8 for Adults, $3.50 for 6 to 12 year olds, five and younger are free. The Auction starts at 1:30pm and includes quilts, crafts and wood works. The public is welcome.

The United Presbyterian Church Read and Feed Book Club will meet on Thursday Nov. 18 at 11:45am in the church library. Each reader is to choose one of the children’s books by Judy Blume. Bring your lunch.

The United Presbyterian Church in Washington Adult Fellowship will be on Sunday Nov. 18 at 6:30pm at the church. Bring sandwiches, a salad or a sweet and table service. The program will be presented by Jim Petersen on cars made in Iowa.

The Winfield United Methodist Church will be serving its annual turkey with all the trimmings supper Wednesday November 10th. Serving starts at 5:00, cost is $8.00 for adults, $3.00 for children ages 5 to 10 and four years and under is free.

United Church of Crawfordsville Fall Soup Supper will be Saturday, November 13th from 4:30 – 6:45 p.m. The will be serving chili, oyster and potato soup, Free will offering accepted. At 7:00 p.m. the Bontrager Family Singers will give a concert. Everyone is welcome.

The Catholic Daughters Soup Supper is November 6th, 5-7 pm. Menu includes soup, breads, relish, and dessert of pie or cake, all for $7.50. To be held at Tobin Hall at St. James on West 2nd. Everyone is invited and welcome to come.

On Sunday November 28th the United Methodist Church will begin Advent with a Worship service called “Hanging of the Greens.” Teens and interested adults are asked to prepare for this service by pre-decorating on Wednesday November 24th from 8 to 10pm. please see Amy Sara Richardson if you could help.

Prescription Drug Drop Off Day will be Saturday November 13th. You may drop off any old prescriptions at the parking lot of the Presbyterian church at 20- E. Main St. in Washington. It is best if meds are not left in your home if you are not currently using them. You may also take old prescriptions to many pharmacies.

The Election night SOUP SUPPER at the UP Church on Tuesday Nov 2 will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Take out is available. This Supper is Sponsored by the Washington Lions Club. Proceeds will go to local needs such as sending students to Diabetes camp and buying eyeglasses. Tickets can be bought at Lyons Appliance and the Washington Eye Care Center.

Holy Trinity Church Richmond Fall Dinner will be Sunday October 31 from 11:00am – 2:00 pm. It will include a Pork Loin and Beef dinner. Cost for Adults is $9, Children 6 – 10 years: $3.00. There will also be a Country Store and a Raffle with items that include 1/2 a Hog, and several other items.

The 106th Annual Election Night Supper at the West Chester United Methodist Church will be Tuesday November 2nd from 4:30 – 7pm. They will be serving Chicken Pie and Ham. Cost for adults is $9, Children 6-12 are $4, and 5 and under are free. Carry Outs will be available.
