“French Toast and Toppings” Breakfast

Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington is having a “French Toast and Toppings” breakfast on Saturday, from 7 to 10:30am.  It is a free will offering.  100% of the proceeds will go to support Immanuel’s mission project, Child Voice International.

‘Car-Mandments Bible School’

Children ages 4-12 are invited to attend ‘Car-Mandments Bible School’ at the Washington Reformed Presbyterian Church on June 21-25 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. We’ll be learning the 10 Commandments with the help of some funny old cars. For more information call 461-2892.

rinity United Methodist Church Bible School

Trinity United Methodist Church in Riverside would like to invite all children that just completed grades K-6 to attend Bible School on July 13 & 14 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. They will have a Bible lesson, arts and crafts, snack, games and music each night.  Please register by emailing your name and phone number to: trinityrvsd@iowatelecom.net or call and leave a message at: 648-3092. Whether you email or call they will respond to get your child/children registered.  Adults and parents please join Pastor Betsey Neipert in Adult Bible Study during Bible School. Gracehill Moravian Church Homecoming Celebration

The Gracehill Moravian Church is celebrating its annual homecoming on Sunday, June 27th at 10:30am. Bryan Gates is the guest speaker. A potluck lunch will follow the service. A business meeting will be held after the meal. All are welcome to attend.

Family Fun Fest

New Life Community Church in Wellman is hosting the first annual Family Fun Fest on Saturday.  It will be held from 9:30 to 11:30am at the Wellman North Park in Wellman.  All families of all ages and sizes are invited to kick off Memorial Day weekend with Kid-Centered Activities such as Sports, Science, Geography, Crafts, Snacks, and Much More, all for FREE.

Don Colton

The Washington United Methodist Church, 206 West 2nd Street, will host Don Colton, Saxophonist, Guitarist and Singer on Sunday, May 16th at the 9:00 and 10:30 am Worship Services.  Don Colton is from Southeast Iowa. He grew up in a musical family and gave his first public performance at age 7, singing for a small country church, accompanied by his mother and sister on the piano.

Iowa Mennonite School’s Touring Choir

Iowa Mennonite School’s Touring Choir will share a program of sacred music at Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church on Sunday, at 6:00 p.m.  The concert will feature a variety of music, primarily vocal with some accompaniment and ensemble pieces, all are under the direction of Karenza Yoder.  The choir is comprised of juniors and seniors.  All are invited to attend the program.

Annual Auction to Benefit Youth Ministry

The United Methodist Church of Washington is having their Annual Auction to benefit Youth Ministry on Saturday.  Dinner begins at 5:30 followed by the auction at 6:15.  Cost is $15 per person, or $120 for a table of eight.  Childcare will be provided for $5 per child.

Jubilance Children’s Choir Program

Kalona Mennonite Church is having a Jubilance Children’s Choir Program on Friday, May 7th at 7 PM in Kalona.  Jubilance is a community children’s choir made up of 30 area children under the direction of Rhonda Miller.  Come enjoy an evening of children singing joyful songs!

Iowa Mennonite High School Touring Choir

The United Methodist Church and Washington Mennonite Church will host
the Iowa Mennonite High School Touring Choir from Kalona, on Sunday,
April 25th for a combined worship service at 9:30 AM, at the United
Methodist Church, 206 W. Second St., Washington. The choir will conduct the entire worship service and will lead hymns accapella, in the unique tradition of the Mennonite worship. The choir is directed by Karenza Yoder.  At 11 AM there will be a potluck meal for the choir, youth groups, church families and friends. Iowa Mennonite School personnel will be present to give a brief program and answer questions about IMS.  All community members are welcome.
