The Lyrycyst to Perform at Hamakua Place

Wednesday, August 4th at 7pm at the Hamakua Place, there will be a Special guest appearance by Steven Cooper, nationally known as THE LYRYCYST! Steven will share his inspiring story, his awesome music….up close & personal! Door Prizes! Fun! For all ages! Free-will offering will be taken to help Steven cover his expenses! The Calvarymen to Perform at Local Churches

The southern gospel music from The Calvarymen out of Missouri is performing at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in Wayland on Sunday August 8th at 10:30am and at 6:30pm at the Upper Deer Creek Mennonite Church in Wellman. Everyone is welcome. The event is a free will offering.

Asbury United Methodist Church Vacation Bible School

Asbury United Methodist Church in Wellman invites all children ages 3 through starting 6th grade to become space cadets at our summer space voyage Vacation Bible School: GALACTIC BLAST: A COSMIC ADVENTURE PRAISING GOD on July 26th through July 29 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. each evening. Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington is having a “French Toast and Toppings” breakfast on Saturday, from 7 to 10:30am.  It is a free will offering.  100% of the proceeds will go to support Immanuel’s mission project, Child Voice International.

‘Car-Mandments Bible School’

rinity United Methodist Church Bible School

Trinity United Methodist Church in Riverside would like to invite all children that just completed grades K-6 to attend Bible School on July 13 & 14 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. They will have a Bible lesson, arts and crafts, snack, games and music each night.  Please register by emailing your name and phone number to: trinityrvsd@iowatelecom.net or call and leave a message at: 648-3092. Don Colton

The Washington United Methodist Church, 206 West 2nd Street, will host Don Colton, Saxophonist, Guitarist and Singer on Sunday, May 16th at the 9:00 and 10:30 am Worship Services.  Don Colton is from Southeast Iowa. He grew up in a musical family and gave his first public performance at age 7, singing for a small country church, accompanied by his mother and sister on the piano.

Iowa Mennonite School’s Touring Choir

Iowa Mennonite School’s Touring Choir will share a program of sacred music at Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church on Sunday, at 6:00 p.m.  The concert will feature a variety of music, primarily vocal with some accompaniment and ensemble pieces, all are under the direction of Karenza Yoder.  The choir is comprised of juniors and seniors.  All are invited to attend the program.
