The Washington United Methodist Church, 206 West 2nd Street, will host Don Colton, Saxophonist, Guitarist and Singer on Sunday, May 16th at the 9:00 and 10:30 am Worship Services. Don Colton is from Southeast Iowa. He grew up in a musical family and gave his first public performance at age 7, singing for a small country church, accompanied by his mother and sister on the piano.

Iowa Mennonite School’s Touring Choir will share a program of sacred music at Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church on Sunday, at 6:00 p.m. The concert will feature a variety of music, primarily vocal with some accompaniment and ensemble pieces, all are under the direction of Karenza Yoder. The choir is comprised of juniors and seniors. All are invited to attend the program.

The United Methodist Church of Washington is having their Annual Auction to benefit Youth Ministry on Saturday. Dinner begins at 5:30 followed by the auction at 6:15. Cost is $15 per person, or $120 for a table of eight. Childcare will be provided for $5 per child.
Kalona Mennonite Church is having a Jubilance Children’s Choir Program on Friday, May 7th at 7 PM in Kalona. Jubilance is a community children’s choir made up of 30 area children under the direction of Rhonda Miller. Come enjoy an evening of children singing joyful songs!
