A 44-year old woman from Mt. Pleasant is still missing. Teresa Bruegge was reported missing to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office on February 14, according to the Iowa Department of Public Safety.

City of Kalona to Purchase Truck

The Kalona City council has OK’d the purchase of a new truck. The 2013 1 Ton Silverado pickup truck will be used by the Public Works Department for street work. According to City Administrator Ryan Schlabaugh the price of $12,146 for the truck will be paid for with local option sales tax dollars. He adds that includes equipping the truck with a box, discount from the dealer and the trade in of another truck. The purchase was approved at last week’s meeting.

County to Improve Road Near Brighton
