Two Vehicle Wreck on 218

A two vehicle wreck occurred shortly before noon Friday.

A semi and a four-door Volkswagen collided in the northbound lanes of Highway 218 shortly before noon today. Both vehicles came to rest in the median approximately 1.5-miles north of G36, near mile marker 72. It is unsure at this time if injuries were incurred. Traffic was reduced to one lane in both the northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 218, causing traffic to slow for some time.

Washington Ambulance, Riverside Fire, Washington County Sheriff’s personnel and Iowa State Patrol responded to the scene.
