NEWS UPDATE – Old 92 Reopens

A traffic accident on old Highway 92 completely blocked traffic for almost two hours this morning. The Washington County Communications Center says a tractor trailer was too tall to fit under the overpass near Walker Livestock near Washington and smashed into the structure. The roadway was closed from about 8:30 until approximately 11:00 am.

A power outage in Riverside has left some residents in the dark tonight. Alliant Energy reports 467 customers are without power. Alliant Energy crews are currently working on the situation and outage is expected to be fixed by 2 AM Thursday morning (1/14).
