Wildcat Girls Get Revenge On the Road

A strong second half charge gave the Columbus girls a thrilling 37-36 win over IMS on the road Friday night. It was IMS who jumped out early behind an 11 point, seven rebound first quarter from Olivia Yutzy, the IMS lead was 13-9 after the first period. IMS continued to control things in the second quarter, ending the half on a 13-3 run to take a 25-16 lead into the locker room. Following the game IMS Head Coach Aaron Gingerich talked about his teams strong first half.

WMU Splits with Mediapolis

The Winfield- Mt. Union boys team defeated Mediapolis last night by 10.

The Wolves were in control of the game the entire time, leading 30-19 at the half. WMU extended their lead to has many as 20 at the start of the fourth quarter before Mepo tried to get back in it, but the Wolves hung on and won 57-47.

WMU got points from nine players, and was led by Garrett Baker with 18 and Jake Edwards with 16.

In the girls’ contest it was Mediapolis getting the win by a 56-25 score.
