Lions look for redemption at HLV

The Lone Tree football team played their home opener last week; it didn’t go nearly as they had hoped, losing to Iowa Valley 56-17.  They’ll play another road game this week before three straight home games, traveling to Victor to take on HLV.

WACO sees toughest test yet

The WACO Warrior football team played their home opener last week, beating the previously undefeated English Valleys 59-40.  The Warriors will take to the road again tonight, and they’ll have their work cut out for them against third-ranked New London (Associated Press poll).

The Sigourney-Keota football team came away with a huge road victory last Friday night, beating then-ranked Lynnville Sully by 36 points.  They’re back at home tomorrow night, ready to take on Albia.
