Nail-biter in Waco vs. New London matchup

The Waco Warriors played the New London Tigers last night in a very close match up that ended up for New London winning the game 24-21. Waco out rushed New London 258 to 81 but the Tigers passed the ball for 325 yards to Waco’s 106. The New London also had a good game on defense getting two interceptions and limit Waco on third down having them only convert 3-12. Waco now 0-3 will travel back home as they play Van Buren. New London now 2-1 will travel to Pekin next Friday.

Big Win for Mid Prairie in Homecoming

The Mid Prairie Golden Hawks got a big win last night on homecoming as they beat the LM Falcons 35-3 on AM 1380 FM 102.5 and on KCIIraido.com.

Sigourney Battles Hard in Lose to Pekin

The Sigourney Savages had a volleyball match vs. the Panthers of Pekin on Tuesday night. Sigourney won the first match 25-14, but lost their next three matches 19-25. 17-25, 25-27. Leading the way in hits was Jordan Carter with 24 kills. Leah Carter had 22 assists to lead the team in that category. Brooke Schroeder also led the way with 15 digs. Sigourney’s next game will be at HLV Victor on Monday.

Lone Tree hosts Central City Tonight

The Lone Tree Tigers Volleyball team will host the Wildcats of Central City tonight. Lone Tree who is 7-13 hasn’t played since playing Wapello last Thursday losing in close matches 2-3. In those matches Hailey Corner led the way with 12 assists and six kills. Along with Elena Sieverding’s nine assists and six kills. The Wildcats come in 4- 18 hasn’t played since last Tuesday. Matches will start at seven fifteen.
