Title: WACO Ultimate Warrior
Location: WACO H.S. Gymnasium
Description: The 2nd annual Ultimate Warrior Pageant will be held Friday, April 7th at WACO High School Gymnasium. WACO\’s young men will represent school activities in teamwear, talent, and evening wear competitions. There will be a silent auction and the audience will vote on a people\’s choice winner. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. All funds raised support students attending school team-sponsored camps this summer.

Description: The West Chester First Responders pancake Breakfast is Sunday April 9th. All you can eat pancakes, sausage, and eggs. Serving from 8 am to 1 pm at the West Chester Heritage Building(old School).Funds raised will benefit first responder member Leslie DuVall\’s son, Pierce, who is battling liver cancer. Title: 4H Pancake Breakfast
Description: The Washington County 4H Pancake Breakfast will be Saturday April 15th in the basement of Dallmeyer Hall on the fair grounds. Serving from 7 AM to 10:30 AM. Free Will Donations will be accepted. Dollars raised go towards 4H enrollment fees for all youth in Washington County. Serving all you can eat Pancakes, sausage and eggs.
Title: Pesticide Testing
Description: The Iowa Department of Ag and Land Stewardship will offer pesticide testing on Friday, April 14, at the Washington County Extension office from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. All tests are available at this site and will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis. Because it may be necessary to cancel or reschedule a test date or site, it is recommended you confirm the test time and site prior to travel. Description: Washington County Extension and Outreach will be hosting a Beginning Young Farmers meeting on March 29th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Washington County Extension Office.This meeting will evaluate options available for purchasing farmland as a beginning farmer. A light meal will be provided at 5:30 pm. The meeting and is open to all beginning farmers from Southeast Iowa. There is no charge for the event, but please RSVP to the Washington County Extension Office at 319-653-4811 by noon on March 29th.
Title: Shuttle to Riverside Casino
Description: Halcyon House sponsors a free monthly shuttle to and from the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort. The shuttle will leave on Thursday, March 30th at 10:00am and will return at 3:30pm at the Applewood Bistro entrance. The trips are free and open to the public. Description: Washington County Extension will reshow both the Commercial and Confinement Manure Applicator Programs on Friday, April 7, for those that were unable to attend a workshop. These programs are shown free of charge on the first Friday of each month in Washington. Applicators that need to schedule a reshow at any other time will be charged a $10 fee per person. Description: North Liberty Community Library invites community members to participate in the Waddle Walk, April 23 at 1 p.m. This 2K walk fundraiser with all profits to support the library\’s Read to the Bump program, which helps build baby\’s personal library before birth for expecting families. Description: 4-H and FFA members involved in the poultry project are invited to attend a free poultry workshop on Saturday, April 8, 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Washington County Extension Office Topics will include basic feed & nutrition, basic health & care, how to prepare and care for chicks, and more. All participants will also build their own egg candler to take home and no cost. The poultry superintendents will be present to answer questions and discuss any changes for the 2017 county fair.
