Participants are invited to join an open, respectful discussion about a variety of science topic. January\’s discussion will by on Saturday, January 28th and will focus on pushing the limits of knowledge. The first 10 participants who sign up will receive a free copy of the book for that month.

Description: Washington County Conservation is hosting its annual ice fishing clinic Saturday, January 21st at 1 p.m. at Marr Park. Participants should meet at the Conservation Education Center. There is no cost, and refreshments, including hot cocoa, will be served. Participants are welcome to bring their own ice fishing gear. Anyone 16 or older is required to have a fishing license. Description: The Domestic Violence Intervention Program is hosting its 20th annual \”Souper Bowl\” fundraising event on Thursday, February 2nd, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Clarion Highlander Hotel in Iowa City. Tickets are $25 per adult, $15 for students, and kids under 12 eat free. Attendees will be able to select a unique bowl to take home, enjoy all the soup they care to eat, and listen to live music.
