Title: Mother Daughter Salad Supper
Description: The Women of the United Presbyterian Church in Columbus Junction will hold their annual Mother-Daughter Salad Supper at the church on Wednesday May 2 at 6:30 p.m. This is a “potluck” salad supper so please bring along a salad or dessert to share. Drinks and table service will be provided. Following the supper, historian Michael Zahs will give a program about the Brinton film collection.

Drug Takeback Day

Description: Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration will be hosting a drug takeback day on Saturday April 28 from 10 a.m.-noon at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington. Bring your expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs for disposal. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Cemetery Walk

Description: Columbus Junction Public Library invites you to the Columbus City Cemetery on Thursday April 26 from 7-8:30 p.m. for a walk through our history. Local individuals will portray seven different people from the Columbus area’s past, sharing anecdotes, stories, and historical events of the time. The walk lasts approximately one hour and tours will leave at 7, 7:10, 7:20 and 7:30 p.m. from the front of the cemetery. Please RSVP by calling 319-728-7972.
