Title: After Prom Breakfast Fundraiser
Description: The public is welcome to a Youth Plus “After Prom” Breakfast on Sunday October 14th at Lagos Acres in Keota. Serving will be from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. They will be serving pancakes, eggs, muffins, and sausage from the Keota Locker. A freewill donation is accepted to go towards making the After Prom party possible.

Description: Mid-Prairie Fine Arts Boosters and Wellman Rotary Club are hosting a Mid-Prairie Homecoming pancake supper on Friday October 5 in the West Elementary Cafeteria from 4:30-7:15 p.m. Cost is $6.50 in advance for adults and students age 11 and up, $7 at the door, kids 3-10 are $4, kids 2 and under are free. You can purchase advance tickets from any Wellman Rotarian or high school music student. Proceeds benefit MP Fine Arts Students.

4-H Coloring Contest

Title: 4-H Coloring Contest
Description: Washington County 4-H is hosting a 4-H coloring contest for any youth kindergarten-3rd grade. Coloring sheets are available at the extension office or online. They are due to the extension office by the end of National 4-H Week on October 12th by 4:30 p.m. Winners will be awarded in each grade level and will receive a free day camp registration to a 2019 clover university summer day camp.

Trivia Night

Description: The Lord’s Cupboard of Jefferson County is celebrating its 35th anniversary with a trivia night fundraiser on Friday October 12 at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center. Happy hour pregame is at 6 p.m. and trivia starts at 7 p.m. Cost is $15 per player, find more information on The Lord’s Cupboard of Jefferson County’s Facebook page.

Description: St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wellman is having their annual fall dinner on Sunday October 7th from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. It will be a buffet of pork loin and fried chicken, homemade dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade noodles, green beans, fresh cranberry salad, rolls, pies and soft desserts. Horse Driving Clinic

Description: The 1st annual 4-H Horse Driving Clinic will be held at the Washington County Fairgrounds on Saturday October 6 from 2-4 p.m. Youth will be paired with their own hitched draft horse team and an experience teamster to help train. CERT Training

Description: Washington County Emergency Management is hosting Community Emergency Response Team training on Saturday October 27 from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Riverside Volunteer Fire Department. This is the first of four training sessions required for CERT. Becoming a CERT member is not a requirement after completion of the training. At this first session they will cover modules 1 and 2 of the CERT Program.
