Description: The City of Winfield will be having its inaugural chili cook-off in the banquet room at the Welcome Inn on Saturday December 16. Registration will start at 4 p.m. and judging at 5:30 p.m. There is a $5 fee to tasted all the competing chili to pick the public choice award.

Description: Parkview Home in Wayland is having a cookie exchange Friday December 15 from 6-9 p.m. Please bring four dozen of a homemade cookie or treat for swapping and sharing, an easy to read recipe, and containers to take your treats home. Description: The United Presbyterian Home will be retelling the story of the birth of Jesus through narration and music at their Christmas Pageant on Wednesday, December 13 at 2:30 p.m. in the main dining room on campus. Everyone is invited to attend Come to the Manger which includes the UP Home choir, special music, and congregational singing. After the pageant, everyone is welcome to stay for refreshments and fellowship.

Winter Nature Camp

Description: Louisa County Conservation encourages youth to get outdoors for an adventure at Winter Nature Camp. Two sessions divided by grade level are being offered at Langwood Education Center on Thursday, December 28. The camps will feature outdoor adventures, hikes, games, and crafts. Youth should dress in layers, and a snack will be provided. Pregistration is required by December 21. Forms are available online at louisacountyconservation.org at their office.
