Description: Halcyon House is holding a program called \”Fall Prevention\” on Thursday (10/20) at 1 pm in the Halcyon House Game room. The program will focus on how to prevent falls and what to do if a fall occurs. The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Haunted Trail Ride

Description: The Riverside Area Community Club is hosting their Haunted Trail Ride on Saturday (10/22) from 7-10 pm, starting at the Riverside Community Building. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for kids 6-14, and free for kids 5 and under. They will supply cookies, hot cider, and hot cocoa. If it rains, the event will be pushed back to Saturday, October 29th.

Description: The Washington County Sheriff\’s Office and the DEA are hosting a pill disposal at Pharmacy on 8th in Wellman on Saturday (10/22) from 10 am – noon. They are hoping to prevent pill abuse and left by helping people rid their homes of expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. They cannot accept liquids, needles, or sharps, only pill or patches.

Description: The Washington Chamber of Commerce is hosting the annual Trick-or-Treat Around the Square on Monday, October 31st. There will be lots of free, safe, and fun activities downtown. Events kick off at the bandstand at 5 pm, featuring spooky music from the KCII Big Red Radio. From 5:30-7:30 pm, there will be pony rides, hot dogs, a bounce house, and games at the YMCA, followed by hayrides from 6-7:30 pm. All YMCA events are free to kids in costume.
