A Southeast Iowa State Lawmaker says it will be difficult to get this year’s budget to balance out, even with the governor’s 10 percent cut. Fairfield Senator Becky Schmitz says one unpopular reduction in the plan is to a variety of the state’s tax credits. Schmitz says they’ll begin debate on the government reorganization proposal this week. It’s expected to squeeze tens of millions of dollars out of the state budget
