According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash occurred 3/4 of a mile north of Columbus Jct. on Highway 70

A head on Crash near Columbus Junction this weekend killed four and injured one. The Iowa State Patrol says the crash happened early Saturday night on Highway 70. The accident report shows one vehicle crossed the center line and hit the other vehicle. 20 year old Luke Heck, 29 year old Ezra Barnett and 25 year old Francisco Chariz-Oritz, all of Columbus Junction, and 42 year old Sharon Vandel of Conesville were killed in the accident. 21 year old Nichole Lynn Vandel of Conesville was injured in the crash. She was taken to the University of Iowa Hospital for treatment. Police say the accident remains under investigation.
