press play to hear from WeatherEye Meteorologist Tiffany Liebert
Upwards of five inches of snow have fallen over Southeast Iowa since Sunday and more is on the way. WeatherEye Meteorologist Tiffany Liebert says a strong storm system in the upper Midwest is merging with another winter storm over the southern plains. Liebert says snow total accumulations of between 6 and 9 inches are expected by late tonight for areas north of a line from Fairfield to Macomb Illinois. Strong northwest winds will cause blowing and drifting snow with near blizzard conditions. A winter storm warning is in effect until midnight.
