March is Flood Awareness Month in Iowa, and state officials say one of the most important things people can do is look into flood insurance. Angel Robertson is a Consumer Advocate with the Iowa Insurance Division. Robertson says only the only flood coverage people can get is through the federal government, and that’s limited to certain areas. Robertson says you can find out if your in an NFIP zone by visiting www.floodsmart.gov
