High school juniors are eligible to apply for a college scholarship.  Regional ISU Extension Education Director Gene Mohling says the Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award is a $5000 college scholarship program.  He says any high school junior in an Iowa high school or home school program can apply.  Mohling says the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library Association in West Branch sponsors the award. He says the Association honors up to 15 students who plan and accomplish a project of their own choosing and design.  Mohling notes students are not evaluated on the basis of grades, test scores or financial need.  The application deadline is March 31st and for more information contact your county Extension office visit here.
