A free income tax service is coming to Brighton.  Nancy Adrian with the Washington County Extension says The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program is program that offers free assistance to those who make less than $49,000.  She says the VITA volunteers have completed an IRS training course and have received certification.  Adrian notes both Federal and state returns are able to be filed electronically.  She says those who need help with basic income tax returns will be offered and appointment on February 5th, 12th or 19th from 1:30 to 5:30 pm.  To find out more information, contact the Washington County Extension.
