We recently let you know about Angel Food Ministries and their discounted food pricing program.  There is another program we would like to let you know about called Share Iowa.  Susan Davis with Share Iowa says it is a non-profit program that offers good, nutritious product, at a reduced cost through a volunteer-run community based distribution system.  She says Share Iowa is similar to Angel Food Ministries and has many items that are brand name products and many of the packages contain seasonal produce.  Davis says all that is required is two hours of volunteer service anywhere you choose and she says if you cannot volunteer, you can still participate in the program because others will volunteer more hours to make up the difference.  For more information about Share Iowa, listen to today’s Washington Page.
