Washington County Public Health is passing along safety tips to help everyone better enjoy their Easter and spring festivities.  Registered Nurse Lynn Fisher with Washington County Public Health says when eating hard-boiled eggs, to not eat eggs that have been used in outdoor Easter hunts.  She says to use a separate set of eggs for outside hunting or use plastic eggs.

Fisher says they also recommend to not eat hard-boiled eggs that have cracks in them because of bacteria.  She notes when serving hard-boiled eggs to keep them refrigerated and only out at room temperature for no more than two hours.

Fisher says hard-boiled eggs will last for one week when kept refrigerated.  To find out more information, look here.
