The Jefferson County Board of Supervisors has approved an agreement with Henry County for coverage of Environmental Health Department absences. Board member Dick Reed says the new 28E agreement means Jefferson County will send a representative from their Environmental Health Department to Henry County to perform inspections and other duties when there is an absence, and Henry County officials will do the same if there is an absence in Jefferson County.
Reed says the agreement will work out well for both counties. The Board also filled a vacancy on the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center Board. Reed says Jill Dahlstrom, owner of Yummy’s in Fairfield, was appointed to the board by a unanimous vote, and says he believes Dahlstrom will be a great person to fill the position.
