Mid-Prairie is planning on building a new central office for the school district. They heard from Shive-Hattery architect at their meeting on Monday. She talked about potential plans with the school board. Mark Schneider, Mid-Prairie Superintendent, told us that the architect also wanted to form a community committee for the project. The school board wants this community committee because they want to have a lot of community support for the project. The school board has been considering renovations to the central office for some time. They applied for a grant from The Riverboat Foundation, and later decided that a new building would be more cost effective than renovations to the old building. KCII will bring you updates on this story as they become official.
