Mt. Pleasant boys track team took home the Southeast conference track meet that finished up on Saturday with 111.5 points. The Washington Demons came in third with 65 points, but took home three conference titles, including the 4x100m relay in 45.3 seconds. Boys head coach Steve Roth says he is excited for the seniors getting a conference title.
Jake Redlinger had a conference winning jump in the high jump with a leap of 6’4”, and the Demons shuttle hurdle team also took the gold with a time of 1:08.40. The Demons also got points from Coker in the long jump with a jump of 20’9”, and Parker Turner with a 4th place jump of 18’6”.
The Demons also placed second in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:35.87 after a 51.5 lead off leg by Alex Coker.
Washington will travel to Mt. Pleasant on Thursday for the district meet.
