The mild temperatures in the last few months has allowed area farmers to get out into the fields early, but that means increased farm vehicle traffic.

The Iowa Department of Transportation is urging motorists and farm vehicle operators to exercise caution during the movement of slow-moving equipment on Iowa’s roadways. Last year there were nearly 200 crashes involving farm equipment, resulting in 7 deaths and over 60 injuries.
