The Mt. Pleasant girls track and field team grabbed the Southeast conference title with 140 points, 33.5 more than second place The Washington Demons finished in third with 87.5 team points taking three conference golds in the process.

Sammy Ellingson won the high jump with a jump of 5’2”, beating out her competition by a inch. Sophomore Stephanie Fishback helped the Demon’s cause in the 400 meter dash with a second and half win over second place, finishing with a time of 1:01.87, and the Demon’s Sprint Medley also brought home the win with a time of 1:56.45.

The Demons will run for a chance at the State meet this Thursday at Mt. Pleasant.
