Main Street Washington was recognized over the weekend for some outstanding achievements last year.  These recognitions are part of 95 projects submitted from across the state.  Main Street has been honored with their involvement of the Washington Incentive Fund. This fund is designed to encourage remodeling and repair work on commercial buildings within the Main Street District.

An Honorable Mention was given for their organization in the State Theater Gala Reopening Fundraiser.  Main Street Iowa also recognized volunteers of the year and Washington’s award was presented to Susan Wellington.
