A public hearing is taking place as part of a special Washington City Council meeting tonight.  City Administrator Brent Hinson says this public hearing will discuss the Urban Revitalization Plan that will last for ten years for all property in the city – residential, commercial and industrial.

He says this plan will provide a strong incentive to improve properties, build new and will help with the strategies for housing in the city.

The Council is also holding discussion about property utility easements related to the Highland Avenue drainage improvement project.  The special City Council meeting begins at 6:00 tonight in the upstairs meeting room of the Washington Public Library.
