Hamakua Place in Washington is getting ready to celebrate a big anniversary on Saturday. Deb Bodensteiner with Hamakua says they are inviting the public to celebrate their fifth anniversary by taking part in a silent auction and a pork loin dinner along with a pie-eating contest, face painting and carnival games for kids. She says the evening will be capped off with a concert on the square performed by the group Saved on Sunday. Bodensteiner says their crisis housing facility is having an open house as well.
