A special City Council meeting was held yesterday afternoon.  The Council discussed two mini-grant applications to the Washington County Riverboat Foundation.

The first application was for the Washington Public Library to purchase technology and expand programming.  This grant request was just under $2000.

The second application was for Washington Police Department to request almost $1900 for a speed trailer and traffic computer purchase.  This request acknowledges matching funds of $4500 from the Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau as well.

These applications for these requests are due Thursday and the grants will be awarded next month.
