The Washington Airport is receiving funds for repairs.  The funds are coming from the Iowa Transportation Commission.  Projects receiving funds across the state are funded through the Airport Improvement Program.

As part of three point two million dollars being used for airport safety, Washington is receiving 35 thousand dollars.  The money is being used for joint seal and concrete repair.

The last funding the airport received was last summer totaling almost one point one million dollars to acquire the land necessary to expand Runway 31.
