More action has been taken to assist those affected most by this year’s drought. According to Joe Portz, Farm Service Agency County Executive Director for Henry and Lee, there have been changes made to the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP).

He explains that those who utilized emergency haying, the deadline for removing bails is the end of this month.

Also depending on practice, emergency grazing can by done until November if you sign up before the end of this month.
