The Washington Demon volleyball team will travel to Ft. Madison tonight for a Southeast Iowa Conference matchup.
The 7-9 Demons will be without one of their leading killers in Sam Ellingson, as she is on the honor flight to Washington D.C.
Washington averages 8.1 kills per set, and has 68 aces on the year off of very efficient serving.
The Bloodhounds are 6-9 averaging 7.47 kills per set, but with a .074 kill efficiency. They also have a serve efficiency of .865.
Demon head coach Jeff Spenner says Ft. Madison is a quality all around team, but the big thing is their hitting.
“They’re just a really good hitting team from what I’ve heard about them,” Spenner said. “They control the ball really well, they’re also really aggressive on their serving. We just have to be really good on out serve receive and run offense all night.”
The Demons and Bloodhounds will play tonight in Ft. Madison at 7:30.
