A plan regarding hazard mitigation has been entered in the city of Washington. The Washington City Council learned last night that this plan is similar to the one for Washington County. It will allow the city to receive assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency if a disaster should occur.
The Council also approved a request from the United Presbyterian Home regarding bond refinancing. This agreement means no risk to city taxpayers.
An engineering services agreement for the Industrial Park survey and concept was approved as well. A survey of property lines will be identified and road layouts will be mapped with the survey. The agreement with Veenstra and Kim will not exceed $9000.
