Washington School District conducted their certified enrollment recently and for the second year in a row, the numbers show an increase. Superintendent Dr. Mike Jorgensen says they have an increase in resident enrollment of almost 27 students more than last year. He says when adding in other student numbers and the figures for supplemental waiting enrollments there is a total of 40 more students.
He says this increase in enrollment will mean approximately $240,000 in additional revenue will come to the district in July of next year. Dr. Jorgensen notes other districts in the county have also seen an increase in students this year.
