Winfield- Mt. Union Volleyball had six players on the first and second team all Southeast Iowa Super conference team this year, and two more honorable mentions.

On the first team was Alicia Escher who had 291 kills, and 63 aces on the season with 279 digs and 11 blocks, Erica Robinson also made first team with 275 kills and 41 aces and 48 blocks and Libero Anna Crawford made first team with 325 digs.

Wolves head coach Dave Pieart says all three girls are very deserving of their accomplishments.

“I’m quite proud of their effort this year and the fact that the conference coaches recognized their effort this year,” Pieart said. “[Escher} was first team last year, so it is nice to see a repeat award, for [Crawford] this was the first time she’s been up there, she switched positions this year, so it’s nice to see the recognition for that, and Erica had a breakout season for us, and it is nice to see her rewarded for that.”

The Wolves had three second teamers as well, with Shelby Therme who had 199 kills and 82 aces, 323 digs and 14 blocks, Emily Mathews who had 136 kills and Katie Benson who had 712 assists on the year.
