Washington residents now have extended hours to drop off yard waste and tree trimmings near the city’s wastewater treatment plant. Normally, the site is open during weekdays from 7 to 4.  But during November, the city adds hours on Saturday morning.  Through the rest of the month, yard waste can be brought in from 7 to 10 a.m. The site does not accept lumber or building materials. The Yard Waste Center is located at 1065 Buchanan Street on the southwest side of town.
