New local historical research is now available online. The Washington City Historic Preservation Commission has spent years and now over 600 volunteer hours compiling information about buildings in Washington’s downtown.  Grant funding helped make the project happen, and one goal is to get a downtown district established that would be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
