The city of Washington has created three new funds that will hold money for possible future projects. One of the new categories includes a place to start putting money for municipal building construction or renovation.

Several departments at city hall have been identified as being in need of more space, especially the police department.  The city does not have a specific renovation project planned, but this fund allows the city to start saving for the work in the future.

The other two new funds that were created were a water fund and a sewer fund for putting money toward water or sewer projects.
