Shoplifters in Fairfield, who sold their stolen goods online, have been apprehended. Jason Salyers and Andrea Charette were arrested on Tuesday. The thefts were reported to the Fairfield Police Department by Hy-Vee on Monday, after they were alerted that products from the store were being sold online. A search of their residence turned up over $1,800 worth of products.
The suspects are charged with Theft in the 2nd Degree, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
The investigation is ongoing and other victims have been identified, but charges have not been filed.
