The WACO basketball teams grabbed a conference sweep last night over Louisa Muscatine.
The Warriors started off with the girl’s game and it came down to the fourth quarter. WACO trailed at the half 18-15, and still trailed by one after three quarters of play 22-21. In the fourth quarter, the Warriors opened up the scoring, landing 24 points on their way to a 45-32 victory.
WACO had three girls in double digits, with Aaliyah Brown leading the way with 13, Erica Leichty had 12 and Jennie Greene came in with 11 on the night.
The boys game had the same story as the girls. WACO went into the fourth quarter trailing 32-29, but the Warriors outscored L-M 13-7 in the final quarter and escaped with a 42-39 win.
WACO was led by Braden Blake with 16 points, while Dylan Carlson provided the backup with 12 points of his own.
Both WACO teams improve with the wins and play a top conference team in Pekin on Friday
