The flu activity in Iowa is increasing but remains regional. The State Hygenic Laboratory confirmed 76 cases of influenza for this reporting period, with 295 cases so far this season. The states surrounding Iowa, including Illinois and Missouri, are reporting widespread flu.

The Iowa Department of Public Health reported an influenza-related death of an Iowa child this week.
