When plows are out, cars need to be off the streets in Kalona. While not specifically a snow emergency response plan,  Kalona’s Snow Removal Ordinance does state that citizens need to keep their vehicles off city streets while they’re being plowed. According to the ordinance, after more than an inch of snow has fallen, the point at which crews begin clearing roadways is up to the discretion of city staff.
