The first legislative briefing of the year was held Saturday at the Washington County Courthouse. State Representatives Jarad Klein and Dave Heaton were in attendance as well as State Senators Sandy Greiner and Rich Taylor. Each legislator provided opening statements regarding what they hope to accomplish this session and then comments from the public were held. Members of the public spoke in favor of 4% allowable growth for schools, Supervisor Richard Young brought up concerns with RUSS, and others asked about roads, gas tax and mental health redesign.
