The Highland girls basketball team had a rough ride with Mediapolis last night, losing 84-49.
The Huskies stayed closed after the first half, trailing by four 35-31. The second half was a different story, as Mediapolis picked up their defensive intensity and continued to drain shots, outscoring Highland 26-7 in the third quarter, and 23-11 in the fourth quarter on their way to an 84-49 win.
Highland was led by Samantha Dutton with 14 points and Bridget Murphy with 13 points.
The Huskies fall to 9-5 overall, 7-5 in SEISC play.
