Registration is due Friday for the Kirkwood Regional Center’s academies in Washington. Tera Pickens, Director of the Regional Center, explains there is a deadline because all enrolled students will have to attend an orientation on April 7th. Pickens states that students at any of the partnering schools, including alternative programs, should speak with a guidance counselor about their schedule for next year if they are interested in attending one of the academies.
The various programs include an arts and science academy which transitions to a four-year program, architecture and engineering academy, emergency medical services, patient care, graphics and media, advanced manufacturing and transportation.
