Last night in Washington County ballots were tallied and winners were determined. Shawn Showers is the new Washington County Attorney and Abe Miller is the new Washington County Supervisor. For Senate District 39 Kevin Kinney won the three-county district and for House District 78 incumbent Jarad Klein won. Congressman Dave Loebsack was re-elected, as was Governor Terry Branstad. The U.S. Senate seat was awarded to Republican Joni Ernst.
